Passing On the Torch

If I feel dead, why not make death a reality?

Do you know how many people think that terrible thought every day?

Natalie did. At 14, she was very much alive. Yet she was dying from the inside out. Thoughts of suicide overwhelmed her.

Out of desperation, Natalie hitchhiked to a church where I was speaking. Coincidence? Not with God. As I left the service that night, I saw her outside sitting in the cold. I was headed to my car when God touched my heart and said, “Go back and talk to her.”

Natalie ended up pouring out her heart to me. She felt her life had no meaning… no purpose… no future. She was so distraught, she told me she intended to commit suicide that very night.

But praise God, I was able to speak words of life – God’s living water – to her. The fact that I had shared my testimony of the frustrations and pain that I experienced in my life and how I overcame them through Christ, really touched her. She desperately needed someone who could understand her sorrow. More importantly, she needed someone who could show her the way to turn her sorrows into joy.

I prayed with her. The pastor and the church staff counseled her.
Today, Natalie is not only alive… she’s free!!

Natalie is part of a lost generation… a generation that has disconnected from Christ with no hope for the future. According to Barna research, the next generation is abandoning Christianity in record numbers. “Nearly three out of every five young Christians (59%) disconnect either permanently or for an extended period of time from church life after age 15.”* Millions of young people are saying “no” to faith.

I want to turn back that tide. Recently, the Lord has given me an even greater passion for the youth. In fact, I have a renewed commitment to challenge my generation to be on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ, and to pass on the passion for and commitment to Him.

If I can share hope that ignites one person, then that person can ignite another… and another… and another… until the world is illuminated with His glorious light.

I call this Passing On the Torch. Jesus said…“You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 5:14, 16

I believe with all my heart that this is possible. But I need your help.

Would you consider joining me in multiplying our efforts to reach the next generation? Would you help me pass the torch and create on-fire ambassadors for Christ?

Here’s my challenge. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a monthly partner? When you commit to support Life Without Limbs with a new automatic donation of $20 or more each month, you’ll receive a copy of The Valley DVD.

If you can’t make a monthly pledge, then please help us with a one-time gift of any amount. For your gift of $15 or more, you’ll receive our 2012 Transforming Lives for the Lord calendar.

Please help us with your best  gift which will do so much. With God’s help, we are going to have our own radio program. These broadcasts will reach millions of people right where they live. I can speak words of hope and life to so many more people… just like I spoke with Natalie outside that church. Your gift will also continue to make it possible for me to travel and spread the Gospel across the U.S. and in countries like Panama where lives were radically changed.

There are millions of people like Natalie who are spiritually “sitting in the cold.” Their lives hang in the balance. But your prayer and financial support will make the difference in so many lives!

Please help me pass on the torch. Please help me ignite a new generation with the light and life of Jesus Christ. Your generous spirit will allow us to touch hurting people all over the world. Let’s rejoice and give God the glory for the great things He has done and will do! May you and your family be blessed abundantly. I am so blessed by you!

In Him, Through Him, For Him,

Nick Vujicic
