Nick, thank you, and thank God He brought you to me. I saw you with my
wife at Church. Your brief mention of attempting to take your life
saved mine. After your inspiration my wife and I went to breakfast, a
movie, and then took a nice walk around a lake. About this time, we had
been trying to save our marriage and we got into a discussion that did
not go so well. My wife did not talk to me all week and did not reply
to my e-mails. That Friday she answered my calls. She broke the news
that she found someone else. I was devastated and had no idea. I
thought we were doing good up until that point. Shaking and crying I
drove to her house and she pushed me away. When I looked into her eyes
I knew. I had no one else, my only friend and brother were out of town
and my parents lived far away. I drank and blamed myself for being
stupid. I went to find a box cutter (I use them at work). With your
words still fresh in my mind, "I could not do it, for I did not want
my parents to blame themselves," I put the box cutter down. You saved
my life. My loving relatives helped me the next day, but you saved me
that night. I prayed online and sent prayers to my wife. I will do so
for 40 days as an inspiration from you and it is helping me. Thank you,
Nick. Thank you for sharing your strength.
