Beautiful Miracles

Dear Readers,

I would love to thank the amazing Nick for inspiring me and motivating me with his passion for God.

I am in seventeen years old and I live in Melbourne Australia. When I was young I was diagnosed with an incurable disease called cerebral palsy in Sri Lanka. The doctors had given up hope on me and said that I would never lead a normal life. My parents had decided to come to Australia when I was 2 years old. It was then a family friend of ours urged us to go to church. Predominantly our faith grew in God, our life changed for the better. My life has changed in a way never thought possible. If it weren’t for God, my life would have no meaning and purpose.

I am blessed to be able to walk and talk. I am lucky to be able to get a high standard of education. I am lucky enough to grow up in a home where I am loved. I believe that God’s will in my life is to become a neurologist and research cures for chronic brain illnesses. I would also love to travel the world and tell of God’s great mercy and love in my life. I would like to write a book about my life and the challenges I have overcome. God has moved lots of mountains away from my life. I have accomplished things that I never thought would be possible. God can do this in your life, if you simply believe and ask him to come and live in you. He will take you to places you have never been before. He will raise you up and make your darkness into light.

Don’t be discouraged about your failures. God has something beautiful for you. God has great plans for you. I assure you that God loves you and wants to use you to change the world. The key to getting close to God is prayer. Prayer is very special to me because I know that He hears me and shines His wisdom and love over me so that I can accomplish His purpose in my life. I cannot express the wonderful experiences that God has put me through to change me. My life has been like a roller-coaster. They have been ups and downs but God was there. God picks me up when I am down and makes me learn something out of it.

Every time I feel discouraged I lean on God because I know that he understands and cares for me. Isaiah 41, 10-13 is a beautiful Bible verse that helps me in my times of trouble. It says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you”.

Are you feeling lost or insecure about what’s happening in your life? Our God is great! He turned water into wine and opened the eyes of the blind. That means He can your troubles into something beautiful. You are precious to Him and He loves you with unfailing love. Be strong and courageous men and women of God and share the truth to the world. Give Him your life today and He can turn all your sorrow into joy. Remember that God always loves you and He wants to come in to your life and do amazing things.

With prayers and love,

Jerusha Mather
