Lives Transformed

Encouraged.

Hello Nick, my name is Tamara.  I find you a great blessing and I am really happy that you found God and that you are my brother. Here is my story…

I grow up in a Catholic family so I met Christ when I was in the third year of University studying to be a preschool teacher at the age of 21. The thing is that at the age of 16, I had a car accident. I was on motorbike without a helmet and I broke a windshield with my skull. I was in a coma, but I woke up, finished high school, university and showed everyone that after a big trauma I can again be not only “normal” but better .

When I met Christ everything was wonderful. I was free from depression. I was really happy. But somehow everything became normal.  And then one sister in Christ, Edita, gave me a copy of “The Butterfly Circus” and there I first saw you…. I watched short videos on youtube again and again.  I have heard that you wrote a book too and when we had your book in our Christian Bookstore in Split, I bought it immediately! When I read that book….oh man… you were fantastic! I was so happy and you showed me some areas in my life where I was wrong! Yes, I know that Jesus loves me, I know that He wants the best for me, that He has a plan for my life, but when I read your book I was ashamed.

Do I love myself? I found out that I always complain about how I am fat (at 173 cm I am 64 kg so I’m not!),  that I don’t look OK, that I don’t have money.  (I live with my parents and we have money to live, to buy bread, milk, meat, etc.) I found that I am not satisfied with things I have, a family that loves me (although they curse), friends that left me after the accident (they were not really my friends I realized later).

You said that there are people who live off collecting trash and that they are happy. I lived going to University and learning. Nothing more. In the summer I needed to help in the restaurant but that was OK.  I found out that I have so much more than some kids in Africa or Alžir.

You showed me how to look at life. You birthed in me a new passion for Christ and His Word.  And again I say you are God’s miracle!

I have finished studying to be a preschool teacher (kindergarten) but I hear a little bit lower on my right ear (I hear at 48 db. Normal is at 18 db and on my left I hear at 19 db) so at the same time I can’t hear all the children at once  (I need to concentrate on what each one is saying) and it seems there is a problem if I am alone with the children. But I know that God has something for me! I know that He is faithful and He said that! I love myself just as I am, because God made me like this,  and after the accident I become His child and He has a plan! Amen!
This is not all I wanted to tell you, but I think it shows how grateful I am that you wrote “Life Without Limits – Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life”, and I wanted to say how happy I am that you are coming to Croatia! Finely, I can see and hear you!
God bless you Nicholas James Vujičić! Ti si ohrabrenje mnogima.
Srdačno sestra
Tamara
