NEVER LOSE HOPE…Hi Nick..This is not my story but the story of my son Philip who was born with special needs. I saw you this weekend at Saddleback Church and your testimony just reaffirmed why God gave us our special needs son..Philip..Our son was born in 2000. At 5 months old he had seizures…we rushed to the hospital and he was admitted..What the doctors told us next was beyond belief. The doctors said Philip had a rare brain disorder called Lissencephaly..1 in 250,000 kids get it. The Doctors said he would never talk,walk,be plagued with chronic seizurez and not live past the age of two….I asked all the questions…why, how come, what did I do so wrong…and Oh yea..I professed to be a Christian….yea right..my life had more sin in it than ever…talk about two faced……

GOD used this experience to change my life forever..Did I pray for Phil to walk, talk,and be healthy…yup I did…so here is the Miracle that God performed through Phil’s special needs. He still does not walk, or talk. He still has some seizures but at age 12 he smiles,laughs, communicates by cooing.(baby talk). My walk and relationship with Christ has never been stronger. I have five beautiful children,a loving wife who is my best friend. When you talked about Romans 8:28 man brother I have seen it firsthand how God has used Phil’s disability to be a God is able testimony..and here is where my peace lies..God told me the day Phil can no longer sit in my lap is the day he will sit in his lap..how true that is for all who believe and give their life to Christ……..NEVER LOSE HOPE……
