Not Afraid Anymore

I saw Nick speak last night and it gave me the courage I needed to tell my story. I was asked to share my testimony at church and I said, ‘yes,’ but was trying to get out of. I realized last night that I am here to share my story and to help others that are struggling with what I struggled with. I am going to share the story of my struggle with same sex attraction and how God has lifted me out of that lifestyle and given me a new purpose.
Last week, I was asked to share my story at church. I said, ‘yes,’ but was trying to find every excuse to back out. I was scared of what my friends would think and I was terrified that I was going to humiliate my family. Basically caring more about what other people thought and not enough of what God wanted me to do. Last night, I went to the Rock Church and heard you speak. You were absolutely amazing. Your love and dedication to the Lord is like nothing I have ever seen before. The whole time I was listening to you I could hear God telling me, "If he can do it you can do it, let go of your fear and I will take care of the rest." It was everything I needed to hear. This Thursday, I will be recording a video that will be played in front of my church. I am going to tell the story of my struggles with same sex attraction and how with God it’s never ending-love I was able to leave the lifestyle and over-come what kept me in bondage for so many years. Nick, thank you so much for allowing God to use you the way he has. You beam with God’s love. You are truly the most amazing man I have ever had the privilege of seeing. I hope to someday be the light that you are. I can't wait to hear you speak again!
