God Is Real!

I have been a "Christian" for my entire life (20 years), but lived like I never knew God. Through Nick's message, I finally broke down and realized I need to give ALL of myself to God and let Him work through me. My life is changed forever, and I can't contain it!
I was raised in a Christian home from the moment I was born. My parents are both strong Christians, my father being a Messianic Jew, and my mother who was the child of a pastor. I went to a private Christian school for 9 years, went to church almost every Sunday, and went to all the church camps I could. Though I had "accepted" Christ, it didn't carry a whole lot of meaning for me in my life. In the last 5 years (from the middle of High School through my third year in college), I had completely abandoned God and all his teachings. I drank alcohol excessively in High School, and used marijuana in college to try and fill the growing emptiness I was feeling inside. All the while I was proclaiming myself a Christian and exhibiting a horrible example to all of my non-Christian friends. I have a very good job that pays me generously, and I have spent tons on money on my car and things which I thought would bring me happiness. The more I accumulated the greater emptiness I felt inside. Today, Nick Vujicic spoke at my church, Living Oaks Community Church. It was the second time I have been blessed enough to hear him speak, and the Holy Spirit grabbed my heart today. When Nick called us to come to the front of the stage, it was as if my brain was not telling my feet to move, yet I felt compelled to come to the front. Right then and there, I broke down sobbing as God softened my heart, and I asked him to take control of my life. After the service, I prayed with Nick, and he asked God to erase all the hurt and pain I had inside me and fill me with the Holy Spirit. I felt a physical weight being lifted off my shoulders as Nick prayed, and I have never felt so joyful. Today through Nick, Jesus changed my life, and my prayer is that God will use me in any way he can to change the lives of others so that they can feel the same joy I now have.
