Around the world, February is the month when “love is in the air” as people celebrate Valentine’s Day. But because of your support, Life Without Limbs is telling people all around the world about the incredible love of Christ every single day!
The gift of salvation is truly amazing, isn’t it? In Ezekiel 36:26, the prophet records this promise from the Lord: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.” Your generous donations make it possible for people to receive a change of heart and become passionate about following Jesus. In fact, I received a letter recently from Mike in Australia about a “change of heart” that was so uplifting I just had to share it with you….
Dear Mr. Vujicic,
This is a note of thanks from our family to yours. We live on a farm in Australia and frequently host overseas visitors. Recently, we had the 20-year-old son of a friend from Japan come live with us for six months. He was struggling to find what to do in life. He was hanging out with the wrong crowd and generally heading in the wrong direction.
We included him in all our activities which includes family prayer and devotions. Realizing that much of what we were reading, listening to and watching was a struggle for him in terms of language, we turned to technology for help. We went on a hunt for good Christian inspirational speakers so we could play something in Japanese that he would understand.
And that’s when we found you! There’s a Youtube clip of your message in Tokyo. This young man watched the whole thing from beginning to end, after which he sat at the kitchen table and burst into tears (not a common response from a Japanese man). He asked some questions and my wife, who is fluent in Japanese, explained the Gospel message as a follow up to your message. He gave his life to Christ right then and there!!! This is something everyone has told me is impossible. I have been told that Japanese people – especially men – don’t commit to Christ without years of prayer and evangelism.
Thanks to you and your ministry, what the world believes to be true has been proved totally wrong. Right message, right time and God did the rest. A heart changed and transformed due to your faithfulness.
I have a small understanding of the challenges you face, but please be encouraged that your message is getting out, is being heard and lives are being changed – in this case instantly! Believe me…your story is inspiring and I’m thankful for that – but I’m even more thankful for someone who can straight up deliver the Gospel. Perhaps one day I may be able to thank you in person.
My very best regards, Mike Wilkinson
I am so grateful that technology makes it possible for the Gospel to be taken to more places than ever before. And I am so very thankful for you. It is your prayers and donations that take this message of hope to lost people, whether through TV, a church simulcast or pre-recorded videos on the internet.
Last year, you enabled me to travel to seven countries where I was able to speak about Jesus on 76 stages, and preach the Gospel to 925,000 people. In addition, 26.2 million more heard about Jesus through our digital evangelism internet ministry, broadcasts on TV and church simulcast. I praise God that 408,885 people surrendered to Christ in 2017.
I am also pleased to share that because of generous supporters like you, we surpassed our 2017 year-end fundraising goal and added 300 more Hope Partners! Thank you! Even with these successes, we know that our fundraising must continue so we can reach more people with the gospel in 2018.
Today, as you send your gift of $40, $60, $100 or whatever amount you can give, you will be ensuring that this year is another one of sharing the Gospel – in person and through technology – with a world of people who, like Mike’s friend from Japan, are desperate for a new heart and a new spirit.
Thank you for giving today as God leads you and for praying faithfully for Life Without Limbs. May God fill you with His love and give you courage to be His hands and feet in our world.
In Him, Through Him, For Him,
P.S. The young man from Japan who gave his life to Christ is one of the 1 million around the world who are following Jesus because you support this ministry with your generous donations and your prayers. Please accept my deep gratitude to you as you respond today as God leads you. Thank you for your partnership!
