Everywhere I look, I am reminded it is Christmas time. But my heart is heavy because for so many people, Christmas is not about Christ, the ultimate expression of love.
I know you share my hunger to see people receive His gift of eternal life. That’s why I want to tell you about Emily…
Seven years ago, Emily’s husband kidnapped her and tried to kill her. He served a prison sentence after being convicted of this crime, but was released several years later. Emily recalls that, at the time, “I felt hopeless and completely alone. I tried to kill myself. I was still trying to be in control and hadn’t fully surrendered and given my burdens to Christ.”
Ending up homeless, this single mom with four children lived in her car for a time and then a shelter. To many, her life may have seemed hopeless. But, Emily says now, “God never left my side. At times I could feel Him actually holding my hand.”
Emily was invited to hear me speak and, “After I heard Nick’s message and he called us up to the stage, I was one of the first to go. I’d been lost in my walk of faith, but our Lord, our Father in heaven, my King, has made me beautiful again. I am going to be okay as long as I genuinely put God first.”
2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” This Christmas, people are spending money on things, hoping they bring contentment. But as Emily learned, the only way to experience true peace is through Christ.
That’s the message I want to share every single day in 2018 – that Christmas is all about the Love of God, manifested by Him sending His only Son, Jesus. Every man, woman and child has the opportunity to become rich, spiritual heirs with Christ as children of the King.
We are nearing the last opportunity for you to support our year-end campaign to start the next ministry year strong. Our goal is to raise $255,000 from friends like you – and a few generous partners will be matching every dollar for a total of $510,000 for ministry! This means that between now and December 31, every dollar donated to Life Without Limbs will be doubled!
So please stand next to me by making your special gift to Life Without Limbs today. Whether you give $40, $60, $100 – however God leads you – know that I consider every dollar you give a sacred trust from God, to be invested and used to bring others into a relationship with Him.
With your support, we’ll be holding additional Unstoppable Faith events in our tent next year. I preached 14 nights in a row during our first event that began in late October – and God did a miracle! More than 5,000 people heard the Gospel and 363 surrendered their lives to Christ.
That’s 363 more people who know today that Christmas is about the ultimate expression of love – God sending His Son to us.
We have an amazing message to tell the world – God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life (John 3:16). Please empower me to preach this message again and again in 2018 by sending your donation today.
I am so grateful that God is using me to share the Gospel, and I am honored that you stand by my side. Together, we’re spreading the news that Christ came to earth to bring us salvation. That’s the ultimate expression of love!
Thank you for supporting Life Without Limbs and enabling me to reach our world for Him.
In Him, Through Him, For Him,
P.S. I’m honored that we have 270 more Hope Partners – monthly supporters of Life Without Limbs – since we set our God-sized goal of 500 by December 31. There is still time for you to become a Hope Partner, too! And every gift given by the end of the year will be doubled! Have a truly blessed Christmas as we celebrate God’s ultimate expression of love, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
